The cast of Glee covered the song “Ice Ice baby” in the May 4, 2010 episode, “Bad Reputation”. Robert Van Winkle, better known by his stage name Vanilla Ice, wrote “Ice Ice Baby” at the age of 16. Vanilla Ice based the song’s lyrics upon the South Florida area in which he lived. “Ice Ice Baby” was the first hip hop single to top the Billboard charts. It has been credited for helping diversify hip hop by introducing it to a mainstream audience.
