Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) covered the song “Tell Me Something Good” in the episode 21 of Glee, titled “Funk”. “Tell Me Something Good” was Rufus and Chaka Khan’s first single, released in 1974. Pink recorded a cover of the song for the film “Happy Feet”.
Attempting to deal with his sorrow and cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) incessant bullying, Will seduces Sue with a performance of “Tell Me Something Good” and asks her out on a date, standing her up to humiliate her.

Quinn (Dianna Agron) of New Directions covered the song “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” in the episode 21 of Glee, titled “Funk”. “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” is a song by James Brown and Betty Jean Newsome. In 2004, “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” was ranked number 123 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.This song is also sampled on Alicia Keys’ song “Fallin”.
For her funk assignment, Quinn performs “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” to vent her frustration of being an unwed teenage mother. Mercedes (Amber Riley) empathizes with Quinn and invites her to move in with her.
